Southeastern Bible College, of Birmingham, will launch a new ACHIEVE adult degree completion program in Decatur, Alabama.  SEBC will also offer new online courses this fall.  Dr. Lee Barnett, Director of Distance Education at Southeastern and a Huntsville resident, will serve as the site director. SEBC is fully accredited and participates in Federal Financial Aid.

Southeastern’s ACHIEVE Program is a cohort based model for adult learners that allows for transfer of any previous college credits. Each five-week class will meet on Tuesday nights at the Alabama Center for the Arts, 133 2nd Avenue North, Decatur, Alabama 35601.

An Open House and Information Meeting will be held at the Alabama Center for the Arts on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Classes will begin Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

Dr. Barnett said “If education changes things, then Christian education changes everything.  The programs at Southeastern Bible college are designed not just for professional preparation, but for personal transformation.  That said, our programs are designed to meet the needs of working adults by offering courses at night and online in accelerated formats to help you complete your degree quickly and effectively.  The new Decatur campus will offer students in North Alabama the opportunity to complete their degree through ACHIEVE– SEBC’s adult degree completion program.”

President of Southeastern Bible College, Dr. Alex Granados added, “A cornerstone of our education is the premise that all of life is God’s. There is no division of life into sacred and secular (1 Corinthians 10:31; Romans 11:36): we treat the pursuit of education as an act of worship that honors and glorifies God (Romans 12:1-2). The goal of education is to prepare the whole person: we seek to instill in our students the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for their chosen profession, cultivate their spiritual growth, strengthen their moral character, and develop their abilities as citizens and leaders (Philippians 1:27).”

The vision of Southeastern Bible College is to equip servant leaders for Christian living and service worldwide through being an institution of academic and spiritual excellence.
