Who is invited to participate?
We are inviting ANYONE within the broader ABHE community to participate. We are intentionally targeting board members, C-Suite officers, faculty, and staff as well as partners who serve our members to participate.
Can our students participate?
While no one will be turned away, our plan is to engage institutional leadership FIRST this year. And then next year, our plan is for some of YOU to launch reading cohorts on your campus for students. We may even have some micro-grants available to help you launch your own cohort.
What will our public reading times look like?
ABHE is proud to partner with PRS to host a weekly public reading of Scripture virtual cohort. Philip Dearborn, Lisa Beatty, David Medders, and Carol Dibble will take turns hosting the reading. Each session will be an hour in length. We will make this very simple. No message. No devotional. No three-point sermon. Simply the public reading of Scripture allowing the Holy Spirit to be our teacher.
What do I have to do to prepare for our PRS meeting?
NOTHING! You don’t even have to read. We will use a dramatic reading of Scripture produced by PRS. All you do is show up and listen. While we’d like to see everyone, you don’t even have to turn your Zoom camera on!
When will we meet?
We will meet online via Zoom every Friday from 1 pm – 2 pm EST beginning Friday, September 6th and ending in May 2025
