Dr. Ralph E. Enlow, Jr.
Dr. Ralph Enlow serves as President of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (www.abhe.org), a network of over 150 North American member and affiliate colleges that emphasize deep Bible engagement and spiritual development in community that helps students answer God’s call to live life on mission with Him whether in the marketplace or the ministry. Through an affiliation agreement, ABHE’s network of associate members encompasses more than 800 accredited Association of Christian Schools International member schools and 40 Christian college teacher education programs.
Dr. Enlow served for 28 years as an educational leader at his alma mater, Columbia International University, culminating in a six-year stint as Senior Vice President and Provost. His extensive involvement in theological higher education includes service as a consultant, institutional self-study director, accreditation team chair, and chair of ABHE’s Commission on Accreditation. A founding member of Global Associates for Transformational Education (www.gateglobal.org), he has been involved in international teaching and consulting in over a dozen countries. His service on ministry and non-profit governing boards includes The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM – www.team.org), the International Council for Evangelical Theological Education (ICETE – icete.info), and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU – www.naicu.edu).
His Vanderbilt University Higher Education Administration doctoral dissertation topic was, Student Outcomes in General Education: A Comparative Analysis of Bible College Quality. His scholarly publications and teaching interests include higher education accreditation, general education, leadership, biblical studies, and Bible college renewal. He has authored The Leader’s Palette: Seven Primary Colors (2013), Ministry Education That Transforms (2018, co-authored with Robert Ferris and John Lillis), and Servant of All: Reframing Greatness and Leadership Through the Teachings of Jesus (2019); is a contributing author to Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology (1996); Leadership in Theological Education, Volume 1: Foundations for Academic Leadership (2013); Volume 3: Foundations for Faculty Development (2018); Transformed from Glory to Glory: Celebrating the Legacy of J. Robertson McQuilkin (2015); The Encyclopedia of Christian Education (2014). He has also served on the editorial boards of Christian Higher Education and The Encyclopedia of Christian Education.
