David Medders
Executive Vice President
David has served on the ABHE team since 2009 after serving nineteen years as president of Kingswood University in New Brunswick, Canada. As Executive Vice President, he gives oversight to the Annual Meeting, directs the leadership development initiatives of the Association, and serves as chief development officer to expand association resource and revenue streams. David also assists President Dearborn in support of fulfilling the strategic vision of ABHE.
His service as college president included significant experience in fund raising and the creation of special programs for student leadership development through which he personally mentored high capacity, spiritually focused student leaders. David has also served on the board of ABHE. Prior to his work at Kingswood University, David served for 13 years in The Wesleyan Church including pastor, youth pastor, church planter and denominational executive. A native of Prattville, Alabama, David graduated from Southern Wesleyan University and Asbury Theological Seminary.
