Financial Aid Assistant Director

Position Overview:

Philadelphia Biblical University is seeking candidates for the full-time staff position of Assistant Director of Financial Aid. This position reports to the Director of Financial Aid and is responsible for the coordination of PHEAA and other state grant programs. The Assistant Director is also a resource person for students and their families as they plan for the payment of educational expenses.

 

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain current policies and procedures for the Financial Aid Office;
  • Coordinate PHEAA and other state grant programs for student recipients;
  • Respond to requests for guidance; use professional judgment to counsel students and parents;
  • Gather documentation and make recommendations for adjustments in data elements used to calculate Expected Family Contribution;
  • Coordinate refund/repayment process for withdrawn students with the Business Office;
  • Coordinate selection of recipients and determine awards for PBU institutional scholarships and grants, including endowed and restricted funds.
  • Function as liaison with the University Advancement department for donor relations related duties.

     

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; proficiency in computer programs for data manipulation and report generation (experience with PowerFaids preferred); prior experience working in a college or university financial aid or related position preferred. The individual must be in agreement with the University' mission, vision, statement of faith and standards of conduct.
