Admissions Advisor

Position Overview:

Immediate opening. 

Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this position is responsible for recruiting students to Southwestern College from local high schools, churches and camps. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Representing Southwestern College in a positive and persuasive manner through high school visitations, attending college day/night programs, and in meeting with church pastors and youth leaders.  
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of on-campus recruitment programs including tours of the campus to prospective students and parents. 
  • This position requires irregular working hours including evenings and some weekend work.
  • This position involves moderate travel.

Qualifications:
  • A general knowledge of financial aid and college admissions processes desired. 
  • BS/BA degree required. 
  • Candidate must possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) and understand the importance of extensive follow-up with prospective students through mailings, telephoning, emailing, and text messaging.
  • Experience in recruiting preferred.
