Director of Student Enrollment

Position Overview:
  • Develop and implement the college and seminary's recruitment and marketing strategies to build a prospective student pool, which produces a high yield of applicants and matriculating students.
  • Oversee data integrity and create strategies that develop, refine and utilize the automated feature to maximize contact with prospective students.
  • Analyze statistical information to assist in assessing enrollment strategies.
  • Build and lead a knowledgeable, effective enrollment team that projects an attitude and atmosphere of hospitality, integrity and positive relationship building.
  • Plan and develop literature and correspondence pieces which accurately reflect the mission and purpose of Multnomah and reverently reach our constituents effectively.
  • Give direction and oversight to various administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a Christ-like testimony in all aspects of the job.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the college and seminary's recruitment and marketing strategies to build prospective student pool, which produces a high yield of applicants and matriculating students. 
  • Compile and review statistical information.
  • Annually prepare, review with VP, and manage a departmental budget.
  • Participate in Marketing Team meetings, Enrollment Management Committee, Retention Committee and any assigned ad hoc committees.
  • Plan quarterly meetings with the college and seminary academic dean to ensure Enrollment is aware of the updated or new programs in the institution as well as communicate with them the strategies that are planned.
  • Personally participate in recruitment/enrollment activities and events.
  • Manage and support enrollment goals through strategic implementation of technologies, contact strategies and enrollment trends.
  • Oversee data integrity and create strategies that develop, refine and utilize the automated feature to maximize contact with prospective students. Analyze statistical information to assist in assessing enrollment strategies.
  • Work with IT to assist Enrollment in implementing strategies to most effectively reach constituents with the use of technology in a personalized way.
  • Keep prospective student database current, maintain integrity of system to show movement through the "recruitment funnel".
  • Develop reports that assist Enrollment in analyzing trends.
  • Build and lead a knowledgeable, effective enrollment team.
  • Hire, train and supervise enrollment staff.
  • Consult regularly with ProCom Department.
  • Maintain and sharpen skills in managing and recruitment/enrollment.
  • Involve staff in annual evaluation of enrollment efforts and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate and cross-train with other enrollment related departments.
  • Plan and develop literature and correspondence pieces.
  • Work with the ProCom Department to develop an annual advertising campaign.
  • Work with ProCom/IT in evaluating and enhancing web-site features.
  • Annually conduct focus groups and surveys with targeted constituents.
  • Give direction and oversight to various administrative tasks.
  • Participate in the strategic plan and accreditation processes.
  • Maintain a Christ-like testimony in all aspects of the job.
  • Report timely and accurately to the Vice President of Enrollment Management.
Qualifications:
  • A background and degree in Biblical education is helpful, with an understanding and high regard for the Bible college movement. Master's degree preferred.
  • Prior admissions experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated administrative and supervisory skills, with an ability to carry a project through to completion.
  • Confidentiality must be a strength possessed. . Demonstrated ability to solve problems using discernment and sound judgment.
  • A thorough understanding of Multnomah's history, purpose, and present programs.
  • Ability to make effective presentations to groups of all sizes.
  • Available to travel 10% of the time. . Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with youth and adults.
  • Understanding of the market/competition in which we work as it pertains to Christian higher ed institutions.
  • Clearly committed to Christ and His people as evidenced by a love for His Word and a consistent willingness to serve others.
  • Demonstrated mature and responsible work habits.
  • No more than 5% unpaid absenteeism annually.
  • Possess aptitude and ability to learn various computer applications.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word and demonstrate a comfortability with Internet research.
  • Prior extensive experience with databases. . Must possess experience in conducting focus groups, administering surveys and analyzing results.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and setting goals. . Strong leadership skills preferred.
  • The employee will have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior. John. 1:12 . The employee will be in basic agreement with the institution's doctrinal statement.
  • The employee will believe that the Bible is God's Word and standard for faith and daily living. 2 Tim. 3:16-17.
  • The employee will be a Christian role model in attitude, speech and actions towards others. This includes being committed to God's biblical standards for morality and sexual conduct. 1 Tim. 4:12, Luke 6:40, Col. 3:17, Titus 2:7-8, 1 Thess. 2:10 and 5:22.
  • The employee will be a regular participant in a local, evangelical church.

Other:

Compensation: $41,000 - 43,500 annual salary depending on experience. Full Time with Medical and Dental Benefits starting the first day of the month following one full month of employment.
