| Position Overview: |
Analyze, design, code, test, and implement new software features for various database systems used by the Institution while also maintaining existing applications through modifications and upgrades. Work with the database team to integrate Institutional database systems in a manner that ensures functionality, efficiency, and user friendliness. |
| Primary Responsibilities: |
- To use systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine software or system functional specifications.
- The design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of programs.
- Complete assignments in the incident and request queues in priority order according to timelines set by the Director of Database Services.
- Troubleshoot end-users problems with the software and its usability.
- Analyze and modify programs to increase efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

| Qualifications: |
- Associates degree from a regionally accredited college or university required.

Computer science or other related degree preferred.

Appropriate professional certifications or the ability to obtain preferred.

Two years programming experience required: C family preferred.

Two years UNIX experience with knowledge of UNIX scripting tools required.

Structured Query Language (SQL) experience required.

Two years relational database management systems (RDBMS) experience required. |
