Position Overview

    The University Registrar is responsible to ensure the integrity and completeness of academic records, the consistent and efficient implementation of academic policies, and courteous, timely service to all internal and external constituencies

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Ensure faculty credentials, student and curricular records, data systems, and documentation are accurate, current, and secure.
    • Provide consistent, effective, timely, courteous service to students, administration, faculty, alumni and external agencies.
    • Systematically evaluate departmental effectiveness and introduce improvements which address deficiencies.
    • Provide accurate, comprehensive, timely reports and management information to serve faculty and administration.
    • Plan, coordinate, supervise and evaluate all elements of the registration process for each academic term.
    • Facilitate the development, coordination and implementation of curricular and academic policies through participation in Academic Affairs and Curriculum Review Committees and the Higher Education Cabinet.
    • Ensure consistent and reasonable communication and implementation of academic policies and procedures, and maintain the appropriate approval and documentation of exceptions.
    • Supervise the registrar's office staff. Prepare and monitor the annual departmental budget.
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum Masters Degree, earned doctorate strongly preferred, in relevant curricular discipline or higher educational administration.

    • Five years direct or related experience.

    • Familiarity with national standards for academic policies and procedures and of varied institutional practices in the areas related to the Office of Academic Records and Registrar.

    • Ability to develop and use information systems and techniques. Planning, managerial and interpersonal skills.

    • Minimum Masters Degree, earned doctorate strongly preferred, in relevant curricular discipline or higher educational administration.

    • Five years direct or related experience.
