Position Overview
The WMHK Producer will work closely with the programming and marketing department to ensure all events and promotions, both on the air and on site, comply with the overall mission of WMHK. [Application Deadline is June 4, 2010]

Primary Responsibilities

• The WMHK Producer will not only assist the radio programming department in all aspects of producing/dubbing recorded elements for placement on the air, but fill air shifts as needed, including regular weekend shifts.
• They will work with the Marketing Director/Operations Manager on all promotions and events, including on air promotions and giveaways.
• The WMHK Producer will oversee volunteers and work closely with the volunteer coordinator to recruit, direct and train volunteers.
• They will also serve as the staff “Pastor” and respond to difficult calls and emails dealing with life issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree, communications or similar preferred;
• At least 2 years of biblical studies preferred;
• Training in radio digital editing and associated skills;
• At least 5 years on air experience, proficient with digital editing, office software and public speaking;
• Some marketing/promotions experience a must. Able to communicate the gospel appropriately in difficult situations.
