URGENT: Enrollment Summit Call

From every sector of ABHE’s membership spectrum and landscape, I am hearing that student enrollment stands as perhaps our most urgent collective challenge. Aggregate ABHE cohort enrollments are essentially flat to slightly declining over the past few years. Informal interaction with a number of ABHE presidents has led me to conclude that there would be value in getting ABHE leaders together to assess enrollment realities and identify opportunities and strategies for collective action. While the primary purpose would be to engage in collective dialogue seeking concerted direction, we would also have some key resource persons on hand to offer tactical guidance and training with immediate take-away value.

Who’s Invited:
ABHE member Presidents and/or one other senior enrollment management leader per institution.

ABHE Enrollment Management Resource Team:
  • Tom Shaw, VP of Student Services, Moody Bible Institute (chair, ABHE Communication Committee) 
  • Steve Henderson, ABHE Senior Fellow & President, Christian Consulting 
  • Chant Thompson, Executive Director, NACCAP 
  • Ralph Enlow, ABHE Executive Director 

When and Where:
  • Thursday, December 4, 2008 
  • Sheraton Gateway Suites, Chicago O’Hare Airport (6501 N. Manheim Rd. --> 847-699-6300) 
  • 10am – 4pm CST (most can get there and back the same day) 
Why now? 
If we wait until Annual Meeting, we are not likely to have the opportunity to impact the next enrollment cycle. 

Cost:
  • ABHE will cover the cost of the meeting facility, refreshments and lunch. 
  • We can accommodate up to 50 participants. 
  • Transportation and (if needed) lodging costs are your responsibility. The Sheraton provides a complimentary shuttle service to and from O’Hare
